Abstracttitle RIASSUNTO /title Gli autori cercano di attirare l'attenzione sui problemi relativi alle collezioni di strumenti scientifici preservate in istituzioni (accademie, biblioteche, universit), i cui scopi sono lungi da essere quelli di un museo. Il lavoro di cura e conservazione andrebbe affidato a specialisti, che tuttavia sono scarsamente presenti in queste istituzioni. Tale situazione dovrebbe servire da stimolo ad una seria riflessione sulle condizioni e la tutela del patrimonio scientifico. Nell'articolo vengono presentati vari oggetti provenienti da diverse istituzioni e attualmente conservati presso il Museo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnologia di Madrid.
