The book entitled ”About the ethnological interpretation“, by Ioana-Ruxandra Fruntelată, is a selection of the author’s previously published essays and articles devoted to the main instruments of knowledge production belonging to the field of Romanian ethnology. A professor of ethnology at the University of Bucharest, Fruntelată expresses the need to generate a critical and self-reflexive background of the discipline she teaches, a reflection also inspired and informed by her vast experience as a fieldworker undertaken with her students and colleagues over the last years.
