An approach to the theme of homosexuality in the poetry of Abigael Bohórquez
View through CrossRef
"His article briefly reviews the homosexual theme in the poetry of the Mexican writer Abigael Bohórquez, particularly that which he wrote during the 1960s and 1970s, which corresponds to the context of the emergence of sexual diversity movements in Mexico, who fought for the visibility and respect of non-heterosexual communities. The love and sexual discourse of the poet is reviewed as part of his personal struggle to write his freedom, both in the field of poetry and in the choice of love and homosexual practices. In recent years, Bohórquez poetry has been a subject of interest for specialized critics who, with different eyes and gradually, recognize the place that their contemporaries avoided.
