Cornus mas 'Spring Glow': 'Spring Glow' Cornelian-Cherry

Cornelian-Cherry is a slow-growing, small tree or large shrub preferring sun or partial shade and a well-drained soil. The cultivar `Spring Glow' has a low chilling requirement making it the most suitable Cornelian-Cherry for the south. The beautiful flowers, handsome, leathery foliage looks good until frost. The growth rate is moderate and young plants transplant easily. Bark is very showy and is often displayed by removing lower foliage. Original publication date November 1993.
