Mahakavi Kalidas ka Darshan Tattva

कालिदास इस जगत के अधिष्ठाता ईश्वर को अष्टरूपी देवता मानते है । कालिदास का ईश्वर ‘शिव’ था। सृष्टि का हरेक पदार्थ कालिदास को ‘शिव’ रूप में लगता था। भगवान् शिव प्रत्यक्ष आठ रूपों में विद्यमान रहते है। जल, अग्नि, होता, सूर्य, चन्द्र, आकाश, पृथिवी तथा वायु ये आठ रूप ईश्वर के है। इसी आठ रूपों में शिव का दर्शन होता है ,यही कालिदास का तत्त्वज्ञान है।
