Analysis on Mishearing of Speech Signals Whose Constant Intervals are Periodically Eliminated, and Its Characteristics

View through CrossRef
This paper studies the characteristics of speech signals whose constant intervals are periodically eliminated, focusing on the relationship between the elimination cycle time, articulation, and mishearing. Reports have been published on the monosyllable articulation characteristics and the comprehension of sentences when constant intervals of speech signals were eliminated. According to the characteristics of the monosyllable articulation in the published report, articulation decreases with an increase in the elimination cycle time, but it increases when the cycle time becomes longer than approximately 1ms. However, there has been no analysis of how the speech signals were heard or how they were misheard. This paper conducts a detailed study on the elimination cycle time, articulation, and mishearing characteristics. If targets the clarification of the characteristics of the speech which are misheard by humans based on the experimental results.
Title: Analysis on Mishearing of Speech Signals Whose Constant Intervals are Periodically Eliminated, and Its Characteristics
