In this article, I reflect on the profound professional, educational, and personal influence of Dr. Philip Zimbardo, tracing his journey from the Stanford Prison Experiment to his transformative work on heroism. Through personal narrative, student testimony, and colleague reflections, I illustrate Zimbardo’s evolution from studying the psychology of evil to fostering the psychology of everyday heroism via the Heroic Imagination Project (HIP).
