The two are framed by a Schweifornament and a kind of lattice gate. Writing on the plate: 1409 vivat universitas and literarum lipsiensis 1909. Decorative in blue. Blue porcelain mark on the ground: coat of arms with fish and the letters PBM. Set up for hanging.
