Function: To cover as an ornament and as a floor mat. Woven with patterns of wrapped knots made of fitted double-folded threads. Wrap of flax, bottom of light brown nut hair yarn. The white nocks of cotton, others of wool. The bottom weave sundown in the rose of three shafts. Woven in two floors, sewn in the middle with a longitudinal seam Approximately 30 cm wide stretched with rhombus, hourglass shapes, triangles and with a rhombus with six “legs” in each corner. The nerve forms nocks in different shades of brown background to the pattern motifs, on the other sides of the stretcher forms the background of the bottom web, nocks are missing, but very dark brown stripes are remnants after brittle nocks. In the middle of the cover a large star formed from hourglass shapes and rhombuses. Alongside the star are hourglass, in a row below it are rhombuses with “legs” and small stars. Above the star bright red letters and numbers “OO 1867 OO.” The background in the middle mirror is bright yellow-green. The colours in the pattern figures are bright red, very light blue, white, yellow-brown, gray-toned blue-red. In the stretcher also bright yellow green. The cover was in the donor’s husband’s home when she moved there in the 1930s, then it was used as a carpet. This was continued in the 1980s when it was put away. The cover is contained in a stencil from 1993 by Kerstin Lychou: “Duvets and Wooden objects from Bohusländer” where objects found at the veil inventories from 1973 to the mid-1980s are described. The task that the cover comes from Solberga taken from there. Very broken along one long side, holes and large flaws. Great flaws and smaller holes even inside the cover. The back very worn, especially in the stretcher.
