An un divided postcard depicting a Jewish woman standing in the kitchen while preparing noodles for Shabbat. This is postcard no. 17 in a series of 25 postcards containing prints from illustrations by the French-Jewish artist Alphonse Lévy (1843-1918), including scenes from the jewish life. These illustrations were first published in the book La vie juive / Léon Cahun, published in 1886 in Paris, France. This postcard was produced by the publication of the French photographer and publisher Etienne Neurdein who specialized in producing artistic postcards. The postcard was not in use and has no date score on it. Apparently, it was produced in the early years of the 20th century.
