Underground dyed A shōchikubai sh様 motif. The depictions of these three plants can already be found in the ink painting of the Song dynasty as the “Drei Die des Winters (jap: Saikan no san 'yū Die Die 様).” As well as in China, Japan’s 3-Series combination of shōchikubai wie 様 (Pinie, bamboo, plum) is lucky, so it is also used as a New Year’s ornament.
