Cup with turned out width and on three paws with barrel. Decor with a view of Stockholm seen from Mälaren. A C K, AF W H K, read as Anna Catharina Kempe af Wilhelm Heinrich Kempe. The cup was a gift from Wilhelm Kempe to his sister-in-law Anna Catharina Kempe. Wilhelm Heinemann, German porcelain painter who e.u. settled in Stockholm omkr. 1830 where he performed excellent ornamental paintings on so-called parade cups, vases, portraits, landscapes, etc. His works were much sought. He left Stockholm around 1841. Gift for Johanna Kempe, n. Wallis in the 1870th century from her husband’s niece Johanna Maria Kempe.
