Botanical-geographical patterns of synanthropic vegetation forming in urbanized territories of the Kursk region

View through CrossRef
The paper examines the patterns of distribution of syntaxa of synanthropic vegetation in urbanized territories of the Kursk region, belonging to various botanical-geographical regions. The analysis of the representation of syntaxa in the rank of association and below and derivate and basal communities is carried out. The differentiating syntaxa are identied. Their distribution is different in the territory botanical-geographical regions. For the Eurasian steppe region, the differentiating syntaxa are from classes Sisymbrietea, Digitario sanguinalis-Eragrostietea minoris, Artemisietea vulgaris. Their communities are most often formed in xerothermal conditions. For the European broad-leaved forests region, the differentiating syntaxa are dominated by mesophytes. The forming of communities of differentiating syntaxa is associated with different distribution of dominant species in urban ecosystems of the Kursk region. Among these species both native and alien are represented.
