SHEVCHENKO`S RARE THINGS FROM THE LEBEDYNTSEV FAMILY: NATIONAL TARAS SHEVCHENKO MEMORIAL HOUSE MUSEUM AND NATIONAL TARAS SHEVCHENKO MUSEUM COLLECTIONS

The article deals with the problem of the authenticity of personal Taras Shevchenko's belongings which were in the Lebedyntsev family. The author analyzed documental and literary sources, studied and introduced new archive materials of the Literary-memorial Taras Shevchenko House-Museum and National Taras Shevchenko Museum founds сollections. With the aid of above mentioned materials the information dealing with poet's canvas summer suit received a new more precise information. The way of the memorial things belonging to the poet from his studio in Academy of Arts to the museum collections was followed. At the first auction after the poet's death which was organized under the care of Mychilo Lazarevsky on 28 April 1861, that was Danylo Lebedyntsev who had bought it and had sent it to his brother Pheophan to Kyiv. In the 30-th years his son's Konstantin family presented this relic to Kyiv Literary-memorial Taras Shevchenko House-Museum. The plates after auction were sent to the poet's relative Bartholomiy Shevchenko. Bartholomiy passed them to Peter and Pheophan Lebedyntsev brothers, the membes of the "Old Group" and revue "Kyivska Staryna" founders with idea of creation of the Taras Shevchenko's museum in future. Pheophan's little daughter Olena presented the plates in 1989 to National Taras Shevchenko Museum. But the facts of their belonging to Taras Shevchenko is not sure at all.
