Arendt e a crítica ao romantismo na biografia de Rahel Varnhagen

Este artigo propõe fazer uma breve análise da crítica ao romantismo presente na biografia de Rahel Varnhagen escrita por Hannah Arendt no começo dos anos 1930. A hipótese central é a de que esta crítica é um dado relevante para o desenvolvimento ulterior do pensamento político arendtiano. Além disso, este artigo tenta mostrar a plausibilidade da sugestão de que há uma influência da obra de Carl Schmitt, Romantismo Político, sobre a concepção arendtiana do romantismo.
