ngue Hemorrhagic Fever is one of the health problems in Indonesia which tends to continue to experience an increase in the number of incidents with wider spread in line with increasing mobility and population density. The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of temephos in controlling dengue hemorrhagic fever in RT.01 RW.11, Pinang Kencana Village, East Tanjungpinang District in 2023. The type of research is an experiment with a Post test only control group design, the population in this study are all eggs. Aedes sp mosquitoes obtained from dengue sufferers' homes and surrounding houses, the samples were Aedes sp larvae from eggs obtained using an ovitrap, eggs which can be dried first before being bred to become third instar larvae. The results of research on the number of dead samples in the first treatment observed after administering temephos with 5 concentrations showed varying results. In the first four hours, the highest concentration of 2mg was 12 Aedes sp larvae that died and the second repetition of Aedes sp larvae was the highest at a concentration of 10 mg with a total of 19 larval deaths. Conclusion: The effectiveness of temephos on the death of Aedes sp mosquito larvae in Pinang Kencana Village is in the vulnerable category. By using 1% temephos, temephos is still effective in killing Aedes sp larvae at concentrations of 8 mg and 10 mg, effective in killing larvae by 100%. The advice is that people should be diligent in carrying out 3M activities such as draining water tanks by adding temephos, closing places that could cause potential breeding and burying used items that can hold water.
