Geographical Analysis of the Reality of the Food Industry and the Evaluation ooff the Factors of its Settlement in the Kalar District

Industry is a manifestation of civilized development, from which economic and social development processes are launched and strengthened in various fields. Industry has contributed to changing all economic activities, and bringing about fundamental changes in all aspects of life. Therefore, industry is an important indicator of a country’s progress or lag. The importance of the research lies in the fact that it is the first study of the food industries in Lar district, where the study area lacks such a study. The research aims to study the concept of food industries and their classification in the study area and their industrial structure, and to study the geographical distribution of food industries units according to industrial indicators )number of units, number of employees, capital, area, and the relative importance of each (for the year 2021, as well as a quantitative analysis of the factors of their settlement. in the study area. The study showed that the total food industries in the study area amounted to (297) industrial units to include (12) industrial branches, distributed differently over the districts and areas of the study area. The study variables, and the percentage of variance was (٪80.87) distributed over four groups, represented by the factor of locational factors by )٪5٣.٣4(, the second factor is the factor of labor and its characteristics by (٪10.91), and the third factor represented by the factor of quantities of energy and fuel was recorded by (٪9.17). As for the fourth and last factor, the factor of machines and type of fuel, it recorded a percentage of (٪7.43). For the purpose of achieving the required goals, the study was divided into three axes, the first axis deals with )the concept of food industries and their classification in the Kalar district, and the second axis deals with )the geographical distribution of food industries units in the Kalar district for the year (2021), and as for the third axis, which deals with (a quantitative assessment of endemic factors(.
