SPECIFICITY OF THE CONTENT OF PHYSICAL TRAINING IN THE PROCESS OF SPORTS BALLROOM DANCE CLASSES
View through CrossRef
Introduction. The relevance of the topic is due to the increasing requirements for the physical fitness of athletes in sports ballroom dancing, which combines high aesthetic, technical and physical loads. The lack of clearly structured methodological approaches to the organization of physical training limits the possibilities for the effective development of basic physical qualities, which directly affects the quality of dance program performance and sports results. Modern scientifically based methods can significantly increase the effectiveness of the training process, therefore the search and implementation of optimal approaches is extremely important and timely.
The aim of the article is to substantiate the specifics of the content of physical training in the structure of sports ballroom dancing classes for athletes aged 16-17 years at the basic level of education.
Materials and methods. The study involved 12 dancers aged 16-17 years old, of the basic level of education, who are engaged in sports ballroom dancing at an after-school education institution. The following methods were used during the study: analysis of scientific and methodological literature and Internet resources, analysis of documentary materials, pedagogical testing, methods of mathematical statistics.
Results. The analysis of existing programs of the artistic and aesthetic direction showed that physical training is not considered as a separate section of the program in sports ballroom dancing. In the program developed by us for the basic level of the third year of study, physical training is a separate section with a volume of 9.26% of the total. The correspondence of physical qualities and abilities to the program and the type of sports ballroom dancing was determined. By the method of correlation analysis, the relationship between the indicators of strength, flexibility, strength endurance and coordination was determined, which was
the basis for planning the content of physical training in the structure of sports ballroom dancing classes. Means of increasing physical fitness are proposed for inclusion in the educational and training process in sports ballroom dancing at the basic level of training.
Conclusions. The experimental program we developed for athletes aged 16-17 at the basic level of training in sports ballroom dancing included physical training as a separate section, the content of which took into account the type of program, type of dance, and features of dance technique in preparation for competitions.
