EFFECT OF TALENT MANAGEMENT ON EMPLOYEES’ PERFORMANCE IN TEACHING HOSPITAL, KADUNA

This study tries to evaluate the effect of talent management on employees’ performance in teaching hospital in Kaduna metropolis, Kaduna. The population of the study comprised of respondents made up of 15 staff from the chemistry lab, 15 staff from eye clinic, 10 staff from pharmacy unit and 10 IT students from the hospital. This summed up to 50 as the population of the study. The instrument for data collection was the questionnaire which was prepared and administered to the respondents. It was revealed that the factors that determine talent management in Teaching Hospital, Kaduna are those of salary and promotion, organization culture working environment, retention strategy, the reward system and talent retention and job satisfaction, also career progression and employee’s loyalty is perceived to be among the factors that determine talent management in the organization. From the findings, the following recommendations were given by the researcher in order to advance the cause of talent management on employees’ performance Teaching Hospital in Kaduna metropolis, Kaduna. should introduce policies that will ensure continuous productivity and organization growth. Also, Teaching Hospital, Kaduna should be making provision for effective and efficient talent management strategies to ensure continuous talent retention and attraction.
