View through Europeana Collections
White cloth of hand-knotted net (fillet) with approximately 9 cm wide stripes of changing thin and thicker yarn. In the stripes of thin yarn, are patterns (hard stylized flowers?) found in a tiered embroidery (stop stitch, simple tree sore).
The embroidery is made with thicker, more reclaimed cotton yarn.
Around the canvas is an approximately 5 cm wide edge tied with partly larger meshes of the thinnest yarn and yarn of another thickness (between the others).
On a attached paper patch stands the “Home Solution Association.” Formerly cataloged as a veil. P g a what is in the literature, as well as injuries in four corners (may have become of the corner of the table) re-cataloged as canvas.
A couple of big holes and some smaller ones. The edge was broken here and where. Spotted here and where. Gold.
The subject is photographed against a blue background.
