Elasto‐plastic Analysis of Fracture Specimens using the Boundary Element Method
View through CrossRef
AbstractIn general crack problem, the geometry and loading encountered are too complex for the determination of the fracture parameters analytically. To this end, numerical methods have been developed as possible solution. The boundary element method, used in this paper is one of the powerful numerical methods. An elasto‐plastic analysis of fracture specimens is performed. The welded specimen fracture behaviour and its deviation regarding the parent material is investigated. The obtained results are compared whit the experimental results and the results given by FEM.
