Uma revisão sistemática sobre curadoria de exposições

This study reflects on exhibition curation and places that present themselves as expositive, in addition to museums. This study aims to map, in the scientific literature, where the exhibitions take place and how curators act to emphasize the importance of applying curatorial practices in more than one type of expositive environment, expanding the possibility to other information units, such as archives and libraries. Its theoretical framework addresses the relation between information science and museology and the concepts of curation and exhibition curation. A literature review was chosen as the methodology of this study, which was carried out by subject on the CAPES Periodicals Portal. The analysis of the documents consisted of quantifying the articles that mentioned the term “exhibition curation,” listing and separating them into museographic spaces and other environments. Results indicate few studies that describe expositive spaces outside of museums. The review showed that some studies treat the curatorial activity as plural and open to other environments, without specifying them. In conclusion, the practice of exhibition curation can be applied to other contexts and information units, despite the lack of scientific literature about the subject in information science.
