Moshe Oyved (Edward Good) the Yiddish poet-jeweler-artist, owned an antique jewelry shop in the East End of London. A close friend of the Epsteins', Oyved loved adorning Epstein's wife Margaret and his models, particularly Sunita, with Oriental jewelry. In 1933 Epstein illustrated a little known book of Oyved's poetry, The Book of Affinity, with seven colored drawings. The sculptor's portraits of the Oyveds convey the couple's vitality and openness.
