Ovaj rad predstavlja razvoj i testiranje višenamenskog amfibijskog vozila namenjenog za kretanje po različitim terenima. Nexus amfibijsko vozilo predviđeno je za kretanje po kopnenim i vodenim površinama. Zadatak sistema jeste da sa površine vode može da sakuplja plutajući otpad i uzima uzorke pomoću robotske ruke, dok na kopnu, prilikom nesmetanog prelaska sa vode, može da mapira teren, pretražuje okolinu i, što je najvažnije, efikasno pronalazi eksplozivne naprave poput zakopanih mina i drugih. Takođe, poseduje Gejgerov brojač za detekciju radioaktivnog zračenja iz okoline. Ceo sistem se nadgleda i upravlja pomoću upravljačkog softvera koji komunicira sa vozilom preko globalne mreže, a sve to sa ciljem smanjenja prisustva ljudi u opasnim i rizičnim zonama.
