Los hijos de Pedro Páramo

Dos ideas guían el análisis de Pedro Páramo en este artículo: qué motivos profundos explican la liga entre los medio hermanos Juan Preciado, Miguel Páramo, Abundio Martínez y Pedro Páramo, el padre, y cuál es la consecuencia final de esa liga. Desde la textualidad, se propone tres lecturas: 1) Preciado busca al padre porque a través de él podría lograr una plena identificación con Dolores Preciado y sus vivencias; es una búsqueda que concluye en fracaso: no encontrará al padre y, por tanto, tampoco a su madre. 2) Miguel se identifica con Pedro Páramo, pero desafía su autoridad y muere cuando aspira a afirmar su marca identitaria, es decir, como su hermano Juan, también él fracasa en la concreción de sus deseos. 3) Abundio “cumple con el mandato original y ejecuta el ‘castigo’ sobre el padre”, esto es, cobra con sangre la orfandad, la negación de identidad y el abandono de los hijos. After the textual aproach, proposis three readings: 1) Preciado looks for his father because through him he could achieve a full identification with Dolores Preciado and her most revitalizing and dreamy experiences; it becomes a search that ends in failure because he will never find his father, no matter how much he looks for him, and therefore, neither will his mother. 2) Miguel identifies fully with Pedro Páramo but challenges his authority and passes away when he aspires to affirm his identity, that is, as his brother Juan, he too fails in trying to make his most deep and intense desires. 3) Abundio “complies with the original command and executes the ‘punishment’ on the father”, that is, he charges with blood, the orphanhood, the denial of identity and the abandonment of the children. These readings are joined with others, like psychoanalytic or mythical, thus offering an interpretative diversity of the novel.
