How digital innovation network embeddedness enhances organizational resilience in manufacturing SMEs? Evidence from China

View through CrossRef
Prior research fails to explore whether digital innovation network embeddedness (DINE) enhances organizational resilience of manufacturing SMEs. Based on resource orchestration theory, this study investigates how DINE affects organizational resilience, as well as the roles of capability reconfiguration and digital transformation in this mechanism. The findings illustrate that the two sub-dimensions of DINE have positive effect on organizational resilience. Moreover, capability reconfiguration mediates the relationship between DINE and organizational resilience. Our research also demonstrates that the alignment between ambidextrous digital transformation and DINE results in superior organizational resilience. This study provides practical guidance for manufacturing SMEs to boost organizational resilience
