Diplomatic Relations Between States in Contemporary International Law

Abstract Diplomatic relations are based in the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 18 April 1961, and Additional Protocols. The Convention is dealing with state practice as well as the jurisprudence of the International Court of Justice (ICJ), in the Hague. A big part is dedicated to the diplomatic relations between states, members, and structure of the diplomatic mission, the size and the obligations in the receiving state, their privileges and immunities, and the status of their families and staff, together with the termination of their duties.
