Retinal Specific Esterases in Thirteen Freshwater Fish Species

View through CrossRef
Distribution of retinal specific esterases were studied in 13 freshwater fish species belonging to the orders Siluriformes, Channiformes, Atheriniformes and Perciformes by thin layer polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. The inhibitor sensitivity of the enzymes towards paraoxon, pCMB and eserine was used to classify the individual zones of esterases.
