Margareth Rago: a historiadora filósofa feminista

The article aims, first, to present a brief history of the philosopher-historian (or philosopher-historian) Margareth Rago, contextualizing her theoretical itinerary and her feminist research, as well as her contribution to the strengthening of feminist studies in Brazil. Next, I will make a specific excerpt from two of her books entitled From the Cabaret to the Home. The Utopia of the Disciplinary City. Brazil, 1890-1930 and The Pleasures of the Night. Prostitution and Codes of Female Sexuality in São Paulo, 1890-1930, in which it is possible to observe the use of the thought of Michel Foucault, her main philosophical interlocutor, as a tool to think about the present of feminism.
