Ukrainian Artistic Track on The East and The Orient in the Ukrainian Contemporary Art

The projects of the Ukrainian artists, realized on the East: in India, Japan, China, Taiwan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, are researched in order to bring them to the national cultural study discourse and analysis of the themes developed by authors, taking into account their projection on Ukrainian context. The contexts, in which the Ukrainian artists operated on the East and in Ukraine, are mapped. The projects of the Ukrainian art, created as a result of the Eastern trips shown in Ukraine, are analysed, and presentations of artistic exhibitions from the East in Ukraine are marked. The networking process is researched with the aim of intercommunications development of the Ukrainian artists and cultural triggers with Eastern countries.The different types of the artistic involvement and connection with East are defined: escapism and downshifting with the searches for inspiration in ancient eastern philosophy, exotic culture and natural landscapes, presentations of art exhibitions from the East in Ukraine, expansion of the Ukrainian art, which are productive art strategies assisted to development of Ukrainian contemporary art. The change of existence paradigm of culture in the world is marked — from a grant sphere it becomes the instrument of economical development, that is why the third type of connection is a locomotive for economic development as well. It is indicated that if Ukrainian business only tries to work with Taiwan, an art as instrument of cultural diplomacy goes ahead and build a way for development of cultural and economic connections with this region. An effective model of contemporary art support and its promotion on the international arena is defined on the East in such countries as China, Taiwan, Japan. It is found out that lack of the collaborative projects and the international institutional connections, are the reasons of invisibility of Ukrainian art on the world art stage. The understanding of underestimation by Ukrainian authority the role of culture as instruments of economic and political influence has to motivate to create of institutional network of contemporary art, that would respond to the new place of culture in ХХІ century.
