Il ruolo di Medea in Apollonio Rodio e un frammento di Eumelo

Schol. Ap. Rh. III 1372 leads us to correct Ἴδμονα (of the ms. L) with Ἰάσονα and helps us recognize the reference to Sophocles as a mere parenthesis. The character of Medea, present both in the Corinthian and the Argonautic sagas, gave Eumelus the opportunity to unify these traditions in order to glorify his city.
