Dummett’s McTaggart

Abstract
Michael Dummett’s early (1960) paper defending McTaggart’s proof of the unreality of time1 is uncharacteristically brief. Nevertheless, those few pages have proved to have been amongst the most fecund for their number in his whole corpus: they restablished McTaggart as a central figure in the philosophy of time, and have dominated the interpretation of McTaggart’s proof ever since.
