Nikolay Sergeevich Potekaev was an outstanding Russian scientist, brilliant clinician and teacher, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, professor emeritus of Sechenov University, laureate of the USSR Council of Ministers Prize, coryphaeus of the Soviet and Russian school of dermatology. Nikolay Sergeevich devoted his life to dermatovenerology and gave his profession almost 70 years, until his last days, being engaged in scientific work.
