The Paradox of the Resurrection of Eleazar (Based on the Story of L. N. Andreev “Eleazar”)

Цель статьи — рассмотреть историю создания, литературные и философские истоки, сюжет, образно-символическую систему рассказа Леонида Николаевича Андреева «Елеазар» и выявить художественные особенности образа Елеазара, авторскую концепцию смерти и воскрешения человека в евангельском контексте на материале данного произведения. Основу методологии исследования составляет системный подход к анализу поэтики художественного произведения в контексте православной культурной традиции. Исследуется сюжет, мотивы, образы, символика рассказа и предпринимается попытка выявления авторских концепции смерти и феномена воскрешения человека на данном материале. The purpose of the article is to consider the history of creation, literary and philosophical origins, the plot, the figurative and symbolic system of the story “Eleazar” by Leonid Nikolayevich Andreev and to identify the artistic features of the image of Eleazar, the author’s concept of person’s death in the gospel context on the material of this work. The basis of the research methodology is a systematic approach to the analysis of the poetics of a work of art in the context of the Orthodox cultural tradition. The plot, motives, images, symbolism of the story are investigated and an attempt is made to identify the author’s concepts of death and the phenomenon of the resurrection of a person on this material.
