ILLOS SENIORES DE SANCTO IACOPO DE ROSTA : L’IMPLANTATION DE L’ABBAYE DE LA SAUVE- MAJEURE EN ARAGON (XIE-XIIE SIÈCLES)

Durante la segunda mitad del siglo XI y el siglo XII, la abadía de la Sauve-Majeure, que se encuentra en Gironda, en Francia, tiene a su cargo la administración de tierras, bienes y hombres en la comarca de las Cinco villas por los reyes de Aragón y navarra. En este artículo, vamos a analizar los pasos y las condiciones de este fenómeno. Es importante tratar la cuestión de la función de estos prioratos en la comarca de las Cinco Villas y estudiarla a través de las relaciones entre los Pirineos, la repoblación de los territorios conquistados por les cristianos y las migraciones de los hombres llamados « francos » por las fuentes y la historiografía. Abstract : In the second half of the 11th century and in the 12th century, the kings of Aragon and navarre entrusted the abbey of Sauve-Majeure (Gironde, France) with the running of territories, goods and men in the « comarca » las Cinco villas. We shall analize the steps of this process and the conditions on which it had been achieved. then we shall emphasize its role before discus- sing what was at stake in the transpyrenean relationships, the settlement of territories conquered by Christians and the migrations of the populations whom sources and historiography called Francos.
