Evaluation Of Synergistic Effect Of Nisha Aamlaki Churna, Brahmi Churna And Chankramana Therapy: A Critical Review

: Madhumeha is described as a subtype of Vataja Prameha in classical text. It shares similarities with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) as per contemporary science. Ayurvedic treatment mainly focus on the three types of management which incorporate Ahara, Vihara and and Aushdha. Nisha Amalaki Churna, Brahmi churna and Chankramana therapy has been established for their anti-hyperglycemic, antioxidant, immunomodulatory and stress relieving potential. Chankaramana (walking) is well known therapy explained by Acharya Sushruta in management of Madhumeha. Though various search revealed anti-hyperglycemic effect of all the above mentioned treatment modalities (Nisha Amalaki Churna, Brahmi churna and Chankaramana) yet their comparative and synergistic effect is needed to be established. In the above background the review is done.
