An Organic Metal Halide Tandem Solar Cell Embracing Non-Toxic Tin Perovskite
View through CrossRef
Providing high solar power conversion efficiency organic metal halide perovskite emerged as a promising photovoltaic material for electricity generation in the future. But to date, one of major problems is inevitable toxicity of lead as a component. The non-toxic tin perovskite is a favourable alternative. Furthermore, it provides a low band gap absorber material (1.2eV) to construct tandem cell which absorbs the wide solar spectrum. In this report, by laminating the tin perovskite solar cell with a high band gap perovskite solar cell we successfully fabricate perovskite-perovskite tandem cell adopting non-toxic tin perovskite material. This lamination is not only provided a high efficiency tandem cell but also introduce a mean of protection for tin perovskite from oxidation.
Title: An Organic Metal Halide Tandem Solar Cell Embracing Non-Toxic Tin Perovskite
Description:
Providing high solar power conversion efficiency organic metal halide perovskite emerged as a promising photovoltaic material for electricity generation in the future.
But to date, one of major problems is inevitable toxicity of lead as a component.
The non-toxic tin perovskite is a favourable alternative.
Furthermore, it provides a low band gap absorber material (1.
2eV) to construct tandem cell which absorbs the wide solar spectrum.
