Prispevek definira računalništvo v oblaku, opiše njegove značilnosti in označi različne postavitvene modele. Delitev izvede tudi glede na storitveni model ter navede rešitve računalniških gigantov, ki ponujajo programsko opremo kot storitev, platformo kot storitev in infrastrukturo kot storitev. Ob mnogih prednostih, ki jih oblačna tehnologija prinaša, so izpostavljene tudi pasti pri uporabi predvsem glede varovanja podatkov in zasebnosti. Za šolstvo so podani primerni servisi s poudarkom na Arnesovih.
