Mogućnost razvoja kulturnog turizma u selu Velika Drenova

Velika Drenova is a village, the capital of Serbian grafting. The activity of the population is related to agriculture (grafting, viticulture, winemaking and gardening). Thanks to the current, modest cultural capacities and the introduction of the new ones, the cultural and touristic offer of the Trstenik municipality and the surrounding districts would be improved. The aim of the paper is to examine the possibility that village become a destination of a cultural tourism. The survey was conducted between February and May 2019, based on a sample of 38 local inhabitants. The following methods were used: A random sample questionnare was conducted among the local residents, also municipal officials were interviewed. Analysis and synthesis method were used as well as descriptive method. The research has found that local inhabitants are very much interested their village to be a destination of a cultural tourism. The interviewed local officials also showed interest in the possibility of realization this project. The results of the research are significant because they reflect the positive attitude of the population of this village and the municipality officials for the development of cultural tourism in rural area. Projects of cultural tourism development in rural areas are unusual, so such a project would be very significant.
