Mazkur maqolada infratuzilmani samarali rejalashtirish, boshqarish va rivojlantirishda geografik axborot tizimlari (GAT) texnologiyalarining o‘rni yoritilgan. GAT vositalari orqali hududiy resurslardan oqilona foydalanish, muhandislik kommunikatsiyalarini optimallashtirish, favqulodda vaziyatlarga tezkor javob berish va ekologik barqarorlikni ta’minlash imkoniyatlari tahlil etilgan. Dunyodagi ilg‘or tajribalar, xususan, Singapurda “Smart Nation” tashabbusi doirasida GAT texnologiyalarining joriy etilishi, virtual shahar modellarining shakllantirilishi va ularning transport, suv va qurilish infratuzilmasiga ta’siri misol sifatida ko‘rib chiqilib, tahlillar asosida xulosa va takliflar keltirib o‘tilgan.
