Deborah Brackman Kremniova gazes up at her husband, Valierie, as they are reunited at Kennedy International airport, thus ending the romantic ideal of the Russian citizen. The Soviet government was credited with an assist in granting Valerie and exit fees to come to the US. Soviet officials refused to grant Deborah a visitor’s Visa which would have allowed her to remain in Russia following their marriage. 17 August 1972
