During especially the years 1911-1914, Nicolae Iorga revealed the bases and the directions of his “working programme” for the historical synthesis. With the Discours at the Romanian Academy, in 1911, he enunciated that “programme”, which was presupposing, primarily, the extension of the documentary investigations and the critical evaluation of the specific literature. Beside those professional qualifying exigencies, he emphasized the significance of the historical perspective, both the perspective of the World History for the Romanian՚s History, and the nuanced comprehension of the National History within the horizon of that Universal, Continental or even South-Eastern European History. As well as it is known, Nicolae Iorga has pointed up the concept of the “cultural history”, in the terms adequate to the his living times.
