View through Europeana Collections
An un divided postcard with a three-color print from a painting depicting the entrance cone in front of al-Aqsa Mosque at the top of the Temple Mount, Jerusalem. Apparently, this painting was made according to a photograph from the late nineteenth century. The postcard did not name the artist. This postcard has not been used and has no details as to when it was produced. The postcard was published by Jüdischer Verlag in Berlin, Germany, probably in the early years of its activity in the early 20th century. On the left side of the postcard was the address of the publisher (Berlin-Charlottenburg, Herderstrasse 3-4). This postcard is part of a series of postcards produced by this publication, including illustrations based on photographs of holy sites throughout the Land of Israel.
