Jerusalem: A view of the Old City.
View through Europeana Collections
A divided postcard containing a panoramic, black and white photograph of the Old City, Jerusalem, from south to north. At the center of the photograph is the Temple Mount, which has the al-Aqsa Mosque, the Dome of the Rock and other buildings. The postcard did not name the photographer or the date of the photo. Apparently, the original photograph was taken before 1948, from the high end of the Rockefeller Museum building. On the back of the postcard it was noted that it was from the "Photona" series the postcard was not used. It was produced by Palphot in Israel, probably in the 1950s.
