Mohamed Dib and Assia Djebar are the two great names of Algerian literature written in French. Their vast output covers the different periods, themes and formal trends through which this literature has passed and it is in this sense that they can be described as paradigmatic. Writers of enormous literary quality and undeniable creative originality, one could almost say that it is daring to attempt to draw a comparison between the two writers. And yet, there are countless points of contact between them and their productions, which is what we will discuss in this article.
