Molybdenum mineralization on Unst, Shetland Isles

View through CrossRef
Synopsis Molybdenite-bearing chlorite veins associated with siderite nodules have been discovered in Queyhouse talc quarry which is situated in the serpentinised basal part of the Shetland ophiolite on the island of Unst. The mineralization may be associated with acidic intrusive activity following the subduction and emplacement of the ophiolite complex.
