Writ as an alternate remedy under constitution of Pakistan 1973

The paper argues the different kinds of writ petitions. The study entails the reader to have an eye of its origin dates back in the history which will definitely give plenty of knowledge in the relevant field. Along with study of writ and its types/kinds, a question raises our eye brow that who can file a writ in the court of law? The answer is that every aggrieved person either man or woman who establishes his/ her ‘Locus Standi’ can take the benefit of writ. It is also necessary to denote here that only Superiors Courts can issue writ petitions when considered that sufficient grounds are there to do so. There are certain implications in issuance of writ petition by the courts of law and which court can issue such orders in the form of writ in the light of judgments given by the Hon’ble Judges of the Apex Court of Pakistan as well as the respective High Courts of Provinces of the country shall be further discussed in the article. Keeping in view the circumstances of the homeland, there are some suggestions to make the smooth functioning of the process of law in the relevant field.
