case of radioulnar synostosis of Mongolia
View through CrossRef
In recent years, studies of ancient humans remain discovered during archaeological excavations have increased in Mongolia and significantly enhanced understanding of the lives and livelihoods of past populations there. The authors investigated one skeleton unearthed from Ulaanbulag macroscopically. This study describes a differential diagnosis of proximal radioulnar fusion seen in a male subadult from Ulaanbulag. This work recognizes the potential relevance of the first reported archaeological instance of congenital radioulnar synostosis (CRUS) in Mongolia and draw attention to this example’s early date.
