First person – Neda Glisovic and Aleksandra Chikina

ABSTRACT First Person is a series of interviews with the first authors of a selection of papers published in Journal of Cell Science, helping researchers promote themselves alongside their papers. Neda Glisovic and Aleksandra Chikina are co-first authors on ‘ Intestinal fibroblast heterogeneity – unifying RNA-seq studies and introducing consensus-driven nomenclature’, published in JCS. Neda is a research engineer in the lab of Danijela Matic Vignjevic at Institut Curie, PSL Research University, Paris, France, exploring how tissues are built and repaired by combining cell biology, advanced microscopy, histology and bioinformatics. Aleksandra performed this work while a PhD student in the same laboratory. She is now a post-doc in the lab of Philippe Bousso at Institut Pasteur, Paris, France, where she investigates energy metabolism and circadian rhythms of the immune system.
