AbstractIn a conference devoted to Sir Hersch Lauterpacht one would be remiss to neglect all the other important judges of Polish origin, whose work and ideas influenced and were influenced by those of Sir Hersch Lauterpacht. The present article outlines the main ideas and contributions of Judge Bohdan Winiarski in an era of great turbulence but also of great strides in the evolution of the system of public international law.
